New research presented to the British Nutrition Foundation shows that regular consumption of coffee does not affect a person’s alertness. This means that millions and millions of people are relying on coffee to help them get through their workday and it might not make a difference in their energy level. What’s interesting is the story reports that coffee only counteracts the mild caffeine withdrawal symptoms people experience after having gone without the stimulant overnight.
